Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC)

The RRC will be offering a set of four workshops to support the federal Department of Education civil rights data collection. This is the first year that the RRC, in collaboration with the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE), will be offering resources for districts to ensure accuracy and improve efficiency for this critical data report. The workshops are built around the CRDC template that RIDE provided to each LEA at the end of November. The workshop topic areas are as follows:

  1. Workshop 1 school characteristics and enrollment (subsections: DIND, SCHR, PSCH, ENRL, PENR)

  2. Workshop 2 course taking and assessments (subsections: COUR, APIB, EXAM)

  3. Workshop 3 school staff and programs (subsections: STAF, SECR, RETN, ATHL, INET)

  4. Workshop 4 discipline (subsections: DISC, ARRS, OFFN, HIBS, RSTR, JUST)

The set of workshops will be offered December 2021 through the end of February 2022, when the collection closes. They are offered at different days and times to ensure that we are able to accommodate as many LEAs as possible. If these days and times do not work for your district and staff, please reach out to the RRC to schedule 1:1 support meetings.
